Limited space is available for our advanced cruising classes. Those who submit their completed 2016 Membership Renewal Form, 2015 Sail Pass with volunteer hours satisfied, a certificate from safe boating class, resume, and pay their fees will be given a reserved place in the classes. Once classes are filled, we will take applications and fees on a stand-by basis.

Shore School is held from 6:00 – 9:30 PM at the Orchard United Methodist Church, 30450 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills. Room numbers will be posted at the entrance.

A basic understanding of the mechanics and maintenance of a diesel powered boat are essential to good seamanship. Two maintenance classes are offered to familiarize students with the cruising keelboats from the inside out. They are held in the Spring at Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Clair Shores before the boats are put in the water for the summer.

On Water Classes are conducted on Manitou and Voyager, our 30′ cruising keelboats at Jefferson Beach Marina, St. Clair Shores, MI.

Transfer Trip to the North channel starts Friday June ?? TBD, but usually runs the last week of June or first week of July. Dates to be determined after the Level 4 Timeshare Schedule which is to be finalized March 2016.

The Level 4 Transfer Trip is an additional fee.
Students are responsible for food, dockage, fuel and pump outs during overnight classes and the transfer trip.
Students must also have a valid Level 2 Sail Pass from the previous year.
